Shaman Song

A resource and guide for the fellow journeyer

SHAMANISM

Shamanism is a method and system for healing that is many thousands of years old. Found across the globe in remote cultures and now in urban environments shamanism is alive and functioning well. Contemporary, traditional and Core shamanic studies are available throughout many regions of the world through individually trained teachers and practitioners and indigenous shamans. For Core shamanic studies, the Foundation for Shamanic Studies founded by Michael Harner offers weekend and long term programs and training workshop.
There are many books, journals and blogs available on shamanism some of my favorites will be listed on this site

Shaman Song

Hi, my name is Susan McClellan, I am a shamanic practitioner teacher & workshop facilitator living in Vermont. I have taught for over eighteen years both in the USA and overseas. I have trained with indigenous shamans and also with contemporary shamanic leaders and teachers in the USA. My own cultural heritage is Celtic. Interestingly, the study of Celtic shamanism, became an imperative after I came to the USA having left my homeland of Wales and experiencing  a spiritual crisis.
Other studies include a Masters degree in Transpersonal Studies. Jungian Psychology in Zurich, NYC and Philadelphia.  I was adjunct faculty at Burlington College in Vermont, now closed, and a repeat guest presenter at Green Mountain College also in Vermont.
I work with individual clients and small groups offering coaching, shamanic counseling, energy healing, council circle and dream work.

I have had the opportunity to work and study with teachers from many traditions some of whom have contributed groundbreaking work in psycho-analysis, consciousness studies and social neuroscience.
